At San Ramon Valley High School, we have long maintained the tradition that athletics are an integral pillar of the educational process. The playing field is a classroom where student-athletes master essential life skills, including sportsmanship, self-discipline, teamwork, and the self-confidence required to lead. By learning to navigate the highs of success and the grit required to overcome adversity, our students gain lessons that last a lifetime. Our true value lies not just in the games played, but in our dedication to developing the leaders of tomorrow.
Central to this mission is the cultivation of a positive and inclusive culture. We believe that the environment we create is more important than any individual result, and as such, competitive winning remains secondary to the character development of our student-athletes. We are committed to fostering a community where growth and integrity come first, knowing that sustainable success is a natural byproduct of a healthy program. This culture extends to our sidelines and bleachers; we expect positive spectator behavior from our entire community, ensuring that all who represent the Wolves do so with respect for officials, opponents, and the spirit of the game. It is this holistic commitment to excellence, character, and community that led San Ramon Valley High School to be honored as the CalHiSports.com Division 2 State School of the Year for 2024-2025

ABOUT

Funding
High school athletics in the San Ramon Valley Unified School District are "self-funded". As such, fair-share donations are solicited to fund these valuable programs. This donation covers major operating costs of our athletic budget which includes:  equipment, uniforms, transportation, officials, most coaching stipends, athletic trainer, supervision/security, facility, first aid supplies, CIF, NCS & League fees, and various general expenses to operate our athletic department budget. The suggested contribution will be detailed in a specific sport budget presented to parents at an orientation evening after teams have been finalized.
