Student Accommodations for Testing
If you are considering requesting support from district staff to request accommodations please review this important information and instructions.
SAT/PSAT Accommodations
Please review the College Board deadlines for accommodations requests. The College Board, and not SRVUSD, makes a final determination regarding accommodations according to their timeline, so please submit your interest for accommodations as soon as possible. For general/information questions related to the SAT or PSAT/NMSQT please visit the College Board. Once your accommodations are approved by the College Board, they will apply to all testing scenarios like SAT, PSAT, and AP Exams.
ACT Student Accommodations
Please review this information on ACT test accommodations and English Learner supports. Accommodations must be submitted by the ACT late registration deadline and approved by ACT before testing.
Please feel free to contact the Testing Coordinator below if you have any questions.

Information About PSAT, ACT, SAT

Information About PSAT, ACT, SAT
PSAT - Offered on behalf of College Board at SRVHS once per year, typically in mid-October. The PSAT is also the National Merit Qualifying Test* for current juniors. Test results may be viewed on line through a student's College Board account a month or so after the test. (*Students who score in the top 2% of their state's test takers, typically enter into the National Merit Scholarship competition. Google search 'NMSQT' for more information.)
SAT & ACT TESTS: Some 4-year colleges require that students submit scores for an official ACT or SAT test as part of their application requirements. (For the graduating class of 2023, many colleges have altered their test requirements - see their websites!)
- Typically, most 4 year college bound juniors will begin taking the SAT or ACT in winter or spring of their junior year. We recommend that students consider taking the essay portion during each sitting as some colleges require it.
Subject Tests: Cancelled along with the optional Essay.
While juniors typically take these tests in the spring of their junior year, many seniors will test in the early fall of their senior as well, to attempt to improve their scores. See each of the websites below for a list of testing dates and to register for the tests. Test sites do fill up so register early for closer location options.

VERY IMPORTANT: Students must send scores from their ACT or SAT account directly to the colleges they are applying to during the college application process. Test scores are not automatically sent (unless a student requested his/her score to be sent as one of the 4 free test reports when he/she registered for the ACT or SAT test).
