The Bay Area Creative Foundation recognizes artistic expression and encourages community support for Bay Area high school artists through case awards and prizes. $100,000 in awards for creative writing, dance, film, music performance, original music, photography, visual art. In addition to the opportunity to receive a cash award, every artist who submits to the CYAs will receive a free year-long membership to MasterClass and will be included in CYAs online Creative Gallery.
 
Recognizes high school students who engage and challenge their schools and communities to advance racial equity in order to promote respect and understanding among all. Prize winners receive $1,000 and an invitation to participate in the Princeton Prize Symposium on Race.
 
Express Yourself Film Competition, Earlybird Due Dec. 15, Regular Due Jan. 31, Late Due Feb. 22
This film competition is open to students in grades 5-12. Films must be 3-5 minutes long. 
 
Create a Greeting Card, Submissions accepted July 8, 2024-March 3, 2025
Winners are selected by monthly votes so the earlier you get your submission in, the more time there is for voting. Must be at least 14 years old and enrolled in high school.

$200-$2,500 + an all-expenses paid stay The National Personal Finance Challenge, Competition rounds from March-May
This nationwide competition offers high school students the opportunity to build and demonstrate their knowledge in the concepts of earning income, spending, saving, investing, managing credit, and managing risk. The top 16 teams will advance to compete in the national championship title in the Quiz Bowl. National Finals is an all-expense paid trip and the top four teams win cash prizes.
 
Students have four topics to choose from, allowing them to write on the subject that speaks to them the most. Open to grades 5-12, ages 10-18, residing in North America, Hawaii, or at a U.S. military address.
    • The effect of minimum wage on entry-level workers
    • A better immigration system
    • Cancel Culture or Censorship - Is it an assault on First Amendment freedoms?
    • Coercion v. Choice
 
Presented by Baylor University’s Hankamer School of Business’ Center for Sales Strategy in Sports and Entertainment (S3E). Open to students in 8-12 grade. Students have the opportunity to compete against professional sellers. Students who rival the professionals will receive top recognition and prizes, including access to exclusive recruiting weekends at Baylor, sports merchandise, and a post on Baylor's Instagram and Facebook.

Create an interesting 5+ minute video about a neuroscience concept. This is an excellent opportunity to meet and possibly collaborate with a professional in the field as non-members may submit if sponsored by a current SfN member, who can be located through the member database.
