12 $2,000 Sallie Mae No Essay Scholarship
The $2,000 Sallie Mae Scholarship is only open to legal residents of the 50 United States, the District of Columbia and any US Territory age 17 or older at the time of entry, and who meet one (1) of the four (4) following eligibility requirements at the time of entry:
- A parent who currently has a child enrolled in an accredited college or university located within the United States;
- A student who is currently enrolled in an accredited college or university located within the United States;
- A parent who currently has a child enrolled as a high school senior located within the United States;
- A student who is currently enrolled as a high school junior or senior who intends to enroll in an accredited college or university located with the United States, within a year of graduating high school.

With an overall annual scholarship and grant budget of over $160,000, CSEA offers $1,000 scholarships to dependents and spouses of CSEA members, helping many continue their education after high school. Must be the dependent of a CSEA member.

APRIL
$6,000 Buck Fellowship Scholarship for Sophomores, Due April TBA
This program extends opportunities to extraordinary Northern California high school students in helping them overcome barriers to reach new heights. Each Buck Fellow receives $6,000 in funding (for college and summer enrichment opportunities, college test prep courses, internships, college visits), one-on-One mentorship from a member of our Buck Scholar alumni network to support academic and personal growth, and access to a network of additional mentors: 250+ professionals in fields such as medicine, law, education, technology, and the arts. Note: Students whose parents did not graduate from college, or have limited English ability or limited financial resources, are especially encouraged to apply.
Eligibility:
- Live or attend school in Contra Costa, Napa, Sacramento, San Joaquin, Solano, or Yolo County.
- Be a high school sophomore.
- Submit a completed application, along with your transcript and two letters of recommendation by the application deadline.
You can demonstrate:
- A record of academic success and a desire for academic and intellectual challenges.
- Evidence of leadership, enterprise, and personal initiative.
- A commitment to succeed and improve your community.
- Personal resiliency, including the capacity to overcome adversity.
50+ $500-$1,000 Men's College Scholarship, Due April 1, 2026
The scholarship is designed to identify and reward outstanding high school seniors who have demonstrated an ability to excel in the fields of academics, extracurricular school activities, and community involvement. The scholarship is available to any male senior graduating from high school who is enrolling in a four-year undergraduate college program that commences in fall 2025. The scholarship is awarded through the Foundation for Fraternal Excellence, a registered 501(c)3 organization. Current or future membership in a fraternity is not required. Apply here.
Mt. Diablo Society of Women Engineers (Golden West), Due April 3
Mount Diablo Section SWE Scholarship provides financial assistance to female high school seniors or junior college students from northern California planning to study engineering in college. This program is open to female residents in the northern California area served by the Mount Diablo section (Solano County and portions of Alameda and Contra Costa counties) who are graduating high school seniors attending a 4-year college or university and planning to pursue an engineering education and career.
$1,000, Rick Phillips Legacy Scholarship, Due April 3, 2026
Graduating Safe School Ambassadors seniors are encouraged to apply for this scholarship of up to $1,000 as they take their next step after high school. Students attending public or private colleges, community colleges, career or technical programs, certificate programs, or four-year schools, full time or part time, are all eligible.
Up to $1,000, Italian Catholic Federation, Due April 10, 2026
This scholarships is open to Roman Catholic high school seniors who meet the requirements for Italian ancestry or membership. The application requires an essay.
Multiple East Contra Costa County NAACP, Applications accepted March 3-April 11, 2026 at 11:59 p.m.
Scholarships range in award amount, academic interests, age, need-based, merit-based and are open to outstanding Black students pursuing and undergraduate education. Applicants must be African American or persons of color who are graduating seniors with a 3.0+ GPA.
$1,000+ NOBLE Scholarship, Due April 11, 2026
The San Francisco Bay Area Chapter of the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives (NOBLE) is committed to supporting the next generation of law enforcement and criminal justice leaders and is awarding an annual scholarship opportunity for students pursuing higher education with the intent to work within criminal justice-related fields or law enforcement professions. This scholarship award is designed to assist students with a 2.7+ GPA who are passionate about making a difference in their communities through careers in law enforcement, criminal justice, or related disciplines. Truschke Foundation Scholarship, Due April 15
The Truschke Foundation Scholarship is for eligible students who are a graduating San Ramon Valley High School senior (within 2 semesters) with specific documented learning disabilities who will enroll in a university, college, vocational or technical school program in the upcoming academic year. The Scholarship Committee will determine the number and value of scholarships awarded each year. Students who meet the eligibility criteria are invited to submit an application for consideration. The essay, resume, and letters of recommendation should be submitted together and be emailed directly to Anthony Tovani. Scholarship announcements will be made at the Senior Awards Ceremony.
$500, Stone Valley Middle School PTA Senior Scholarship, Due April 15
Stone Valley Middle School PTA is offering a $500 scholarship award for a graduating High School Senior who is an alumnus of Stone Valley Middle School (SVMS). The scholarship seeks to recognize a former SVMS student who has made a positive impact through volunteering, both in our schools and community.
Qualifications:
● Attended and been promoted from Stone Valley Middle School in Alamo, CA
● Graduating from a San Ramon Valley Unified School District high school
● Membership in the PTA/PTSA unit at his/her high school is encouraged but not required; special consideration will be given to applicants involved in their PTA/PTSA
● Plan to attend an accredited college, university, community college, trade or technical school following graduation from high school
● Volunteered at his/her high school or in the community
● Attended and been promoted from Stone Valley Middle School in Alamo, CA
● Graduating from a San Ramon Valley Unified School District high school

$250-$1,000 San Ramon Valley Rotary Youth Service Scholarship, Due April 16, 2026
Formerly the Bill Gregory Scholarship, this scholarship is open to area high school students who show an extraordinary effort in community service and who have a real need for a scholarship are eligible for this scholarship. $1,000 Athletic Boosters Scholarship, Due April 17 at 5 p.m.
Ten Athletic Boosters Scholarships will be awarded to ten SRV Seniors. 3.0 GPA minimum. Apply here.
$500 Joshua Michael Liu Memorial Scholarship, Due April 20 at 11:59 p.m.
This scholarship is open to seniors with a 3.0+ GPA who are graduating in June; residents of Pleasanton, San Ramon, Livermore, Dublin, or Alamo; and are active members of a church. Click here for more information.
One Hundred Black Women Oakland/Bay Area Chapter Scholarship, Due April 26
NCBW is a non-profit advocacy organization dedicated to improving the lives of African American women, girls, and the Black community in general and offer scholarship opportunities to female and male students interested in entrepreneurship.
East Bay Foundation Scholarship, Due April 26, 2026
Eligible applicants must have a primary residents in Alameda or Contra Costa County, 3.25+ cumulative GPA, attend a qualified educational institution the following academic year, and submit all portions of the applications. Some applicants will be required to participate in a mandatory virtual interview. Learn more.
Two $1,000, Vivian Srouji Memorial Scholarship, Due April 29, 2026
This essay scholarship seeks to honor the life of former SRVHS Counselor Vivian Srouji by supporting SRVHS students who are preparing to begin their college careers. The applicaiton is open to all college-bound seniors (including students who transferred in to SRV their senior year), there is an essay requirement, and there is no GPA minimum. Priority is given to seniors interested in attending UCLA or Berkeley. (Historically, half go to UCLA/Berkeley-bound students and half go to students attending other institutions).
$500, PTSA Senior Scholarship, Due April 30, 2026
This scholarship is for continuing education at a four year College or University, a Community College, or a Trade/Technical school. The award recognizes the achievements of students for volunteer services in the school and/or community.

$1,000, Greenbrook Eagle Alumni Scholarship, Due: 9 p.m. May 1
This scholarship is open to all graduating high school seniors who attended Greenbrook Elementary and are PTSA Members. Click here to apply,
California Scholarship Federation (CSF), see club advisor for deadline
SRVHS has a chapter that students may join. Those who are active for at least four semesters (from second semester sophomore year to second semester senior year) and meet all requirements are eligible for the CSF Lifetime Membership Scholarship AKA Sealbearer their senior year of high school.
Two $500, Noia Freitas Scholarship, Due May 4, 2026 at noon
This scholarship was established in memory of Julia Margaret Noia Freitas and Joseph Francisco Freitas, Jr. (San Ramon Valley Pioneers) by their daughter, Mildred Freitas, a 1936 graduate of SRVHS. Candidate selections will be made by an SRVHS administrative committee. Up to two scholarships of $500 will be awarded at the Senior Awards Ceremony. To release funds, send proof of college/vocational enrollment in fall of 2026 to SRV's financial analyst. Each Applicant must:
1. Be female
2. Have attended SRVHS for all of 9-12th grades
3. Have a cumulative, unweighted GPA of between 3.0 and 3.9 (must be within this range as indicated on SRV 7th semester transcript = Cumulative GPA unweighted) to be eligible.
4. Plan to enroll and begin study at a 2 or 4 year college, or a technical/vocational school immediately following graduation.

Starting at $1,000 Danville Area Chamber Scholarship, Due mid May
High school seniors who reside in Danville, Alamo, San Ramon and are planning to attend a two- or four-year college are eligible to apply. Additional information.
$500, NAGE Scholarship, Due: May 15
To be eligible for this $500 scholarship a student must:
A) Be planning to attend or already be attending a two or four-year college, graduate school, trade or technical school.B) Be a member of NAGE, IBPO, IBCO, or IAEP, or be the member's spouse, child, grandchild, niece, nephew, or significant other.
$1,000-$10,000, Kids' Chance of California, Due May 18
Students who have a parent who has been been fatally or seriously injured on the job are eligible to apply to this need-based educational scholarship. Applicants must be enrolled, accepted or applying as a full or part‐time student at a university, college, or vocational school. The school does not have to be in California. Financial need is demonstrated based on the Federal Expected Family Contribution (which is determined by the FAFSA). Student applicants and/or parent are not required to be a legal resident of California.
$1,000, JA Memorial Scholarship awarded by the PEO chapter, Due May 31
This scholarship is open to female students at least 17 years old who are Contra Costa residents, have a 3.0 GPA or higher, and has demonstrated service to others. The application requires three short answers, an essay, and references. Learn more.
$500 Luv's Brownie Grit Award, Due May 27
The “Grit Award” is for high school seniors who have shown tenacity in overcoming challenges, and who now wish to build on their success by pursuing higher education or vocational training. Applicants should have a track record of community service as well as demonstrated financial need.

10 $10,000 Good Tidings Scholarship, Opens in June
For high school seniors who recognize the benefits of serving their community. Awarded to seniors who demonstrate the greatest service and financial need. Must be available to work at toy give away in December.

Any high school senior accepted to an accredited college, university, or trade school or current undergraduate student may apply for this scholarship if they live in California, or are a dependent of someone who lives in California or works for a California based employer. Rustic Pathways empowers students to positively impact lives and communities around the world through its innovative and responsible travel experiences. 26th Annual Youth Awards founded by the Hispanic Heritage Foundation, Due Nov. 3
The Youth Awards honor Latinx high school seniors who excel in the classroom and community and for their excellence in various categories including: Community Service, Education, Engineering, Entrepreneurship & Business, Green Sustainability, Healthcare & Science, Media & Entertainment, Public Service & Social Justice and Technology.
Gold, Silver and Bronze recipients are selected in each category and receive a one-time grant to fund their college education or to fund a community service effort that tackles a social issue. Thirty-one grants totaling $100,000 will be awarded.
Application requirements include:
- Be currently enrolled in high school or home school program and graduating in the spring of 2025
- Must have a minimum unweighted 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale or 7.5 on a 10.0 scale
- Must enroll at an accredited higher education institution in 2025-2026
- Be of Hispanic heritage (includes Spain, Brazil, Philippines)
- If selected, attendance to the virtual regional awards ceremony is mandatory
