Ongoing/Multiple Deadlines

12 $2,000 Sallie Mae No Essay Scholarship
The $2,000 Sallie Mae Scholarship is only open to legal residents of the 50 United States, the District of Columbia and any US Territory age 17 or older at the time of entry, and who meet one (1) of the four (4) following eligibility requirements at the time of entry:
  • A parent who currently has a child enrolled in an accredited college or university located within the United States;
  • A student who is currently enrolled in an accredited college or university located within the United States;
  • A parent who currently has a child enrolled as a high school senior located within the United States;
  • A student who is currently enrolled as a high school junior or senior who intends to enroll in an accredited college or university located with the United States, within a year of graduating high school.

$1,000 each CSEA
With an overall annual scholarship and grant budget of over $160,000, CSEA offers $1,000 scholarships to dependents and spouses of CSEA members, helping many continue their education after high school. Must be the dependent of a CSEA member.
These scholarships are for:
  • Graduating high school seniors
  • Community college students
  • College/university students
  • Trade/vocational students

California Scholarship Federation (CSF), see club advisor for deadline
SRVHS has a chapter that students may join. Those who are active for at least four semesters (from second semester sophomore year to second semester senior year) and meet all requirements are eligible for the CSF Lifetime Membership Scholarship AKA Sealbearer their senior year of high school.
 
Two $500, Noia Freitas Scholarship, Due May 4, 2026 at noon
This scholarship was established in memory of Julia Margaret Noia Freitas and Joseph Francisco Freitas, Jr. (San Ramon Valley Pioneers) by their daughter, Mildred Freitas, a 1936 graduate of SRVHS. Candidate selections will be made by an SRVHS administrative committee. Up to two scholarships of $500 will be awarded at the Senior Awards Ceremony. To release funds, send proof of college/vocational enrollment in fall of 2026 to SRV's financial analyst. Each Applicant must:
1. Be female
2. Have attended SRVHS for all of 9-12th grades
3. Have a cumulative, unweighted GPA of between 3.0 and 3.9 (must be within this range as indicated on SRV 7th semester transcript = Cumulative GPA unweighted) to be eligible.
4. Plan to enroll and begin study at a 2 or 4 year college, or a technical/vocational school immediately following graduation.
 
Up to $10,000 SBMEF American Business Women's Association National Scholarships, Due May 15
  • National President's Scholarship in Honor of 2022-23 National President Cheryl Blair: $10,000
  • Carolyn Hunt Leadership Memorial Scholarship: $3,000
  • National Scholarship in Memory of Barbara Jones, $2,500
  • National Scholarship in memory of beloved members Fran Amos, Lynn Jacek, Phyllis Thomson: $2,000
 
Starting at $1,000 Danville Area Chamber Scholarship, Due mid May
High school seniors who reside in Danville, Alamo, San Ramon and are planning to attend a two- or four-year college are eligible to apply. Additional information.
 
$500, NAGE Scholarship, Due: May 15
To be eligible for this $500 scholarship a student must:
A) Be planning to attend or already be attending a two or four-year college, graduate school, trade or technical school.
B) Be a member of NAGE, IBPO, IBCO, or IAEP, or be the member's spouse, child, grandchild, niece, nephew, or significant other.
 
$1,000, Greenbrook Eagle Alumni Scholarship, Due: 9 p.m. May 18
This scholarship is open to all graduating high school seniors who attended Greenbrook Elementary and are PTSA Members. Click here to apply,
 
$1,000-$10,000, Kids' Chance of California, Due May 18
Students who have a parent who has been been fatally or seriously injured on the job are eligible to apply to this need-based educational scholarship. Applicants must be enrolled, accepted or applying as a full or part‐time student at a university, college, or vocational school. The school does not have to be in California. Financial need is demonstrated based on the Federal Expected Family Contribution (which is determined by the FAFSA). Student applicants and/or parent are not required to be a legal resident of California.
 
$2,000 Agnes Jones Jackson Scholarship, Due May 22
he Agnes Jones Jackson Scholarship is one of several funding opportunities available to students through the NAACP’s Inspire Initiatives. We award scholarships to exceptional and qualified students. Thanks to the generosity of our donors, we strive to ensure equitable educational opportunities that prepare students for success in school, work, and life. The scholarship is named in honor of Agnes Jones Jackson, a long-time member of the NAACP from the San Francisco branch.
 
 
$1,000, JA Memorial Scholarship awarded by the PEO chapter, Due May 31
This scholarship is open to female students at least 17 years old who are Contra Costa residents, have a 3.0 GPA or higher, and has demonstrated service to others. The application requires three short answers, an essay, and references. Learn more
 
$500 Luv's Brownie Grit Award, Due May 27
The “Grit Award” is for high school seniors who have shown tenacity in overcoming challenges, and who now wish to build on their success by pursuing higher education or vocational training. Applicants should have a track record of community service as well as demonstrated financial need.

10 $10,000 Good Tidings Scholarship, Opens in June
For high school seniors who recognize the benefits of serving their community.  Awarded to seniors who demonstrate the greatest service and financial need. Must be available to work at toy give away in December.
 
$1,000 Abbott & Fener Scholarship, Due June 10
To apply for this scholarship you will need to write an essay on the topic below. The essay should be between 500 and 1000 words. No AI generated essay accepted.
Topic: Describe your educational career and life goals. Explain your plan for achieving these goals. Include your degree/major, why you selected it, and how this degree/major will help you achieve your goals.

$5,000 Thomas Griffin Wilson Memorial Scholarship, Due July 6
Open to high school seniors in California or Oregon with a minimum GPA of 2.7 with financial need and/or experience in the foster system.
 
Up to $1,000 Ashby & Graff Educational Support Award, Due July 17
Any high school senior accepted to an accredited college, university, or trade school or current undergraduate student may apply for this scholarship if they live in California, or are a dependent of someone who lives in California or works for a California based employer. Applicants demonstrating academic achievement, financial need, or who are related to an employee or contractor of Ashby & Graff Real Estate are particularly encouraged to apply.
 
Up to $1,000 Global Perspectives Scholarship, Due Aug. 27
Rustic Pathways empowers students to positively impact lives and communities around the world through its innovative and responsible travel experiences. Applicants must be a high school or college student attending an accredited college or university in Fall of 2025. Awards must be used for tuition and/or books.

26th Annual Youth Awards founded by the Hispanic Heritage Foundation, Due Nov. 3
The Youth Awards honor Latinx high school seniors who excel in the classroom and community and for their excellence in various categories including: Community Service, Education, Engineering, Entrepreneurship & Business, Green Sustainability, Healthcare & Science, Media & Entertainment, Public Service & Social Justice and Technology.
Gold, Silver and Bronze recipients are selected in each category and receive a one-time grant to fund their college education or to fund a community service effort that tackles a social issue. Thirty-one grants totaling $100,000 will be awarded.
 
Application requirements include:
  • Be currently enrolled in high school or home school program and graduating in the spring of 2025
  • Must have a minimum unweighted 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale or 7.5 on a 10.0 scale
  • Must enroll at an accredited higher education institution in 2025-2026
  • Be of Hispanic heritage (includes Spain, Brazil, Philippines)
  • If selected, attendance to the virtual regional awards ceremony is mandatory

$1,000 Ann and Jerald Cerri Music Education Scholarship, mid May
The Ann and Jerald Cerri Music Education Scholarship honors the life and legacy of beloved San Ramon Valley Unified School District music educator, Jerald Cerri. This scholarship is for tuition at a 2- or 4-year institution. Application includes an essay and requires a letter of recommendation from your high school music teacher. Click here to apply.
