12 $2,000 Sallie Mae No Essay Scholarship
The $2,000 Sallie Mae Scholarship is only open to legal residents of the 50 United States, the District of Columbia and any US Territory age 17 or older at the time of entry, and who meet one (1) of the four (4) following eligibility requirements at the time of entry:
- A parent who currently has a child enrolled in an accredited college or university located within the United States;
- A student who is currently enrolled in an accredited college or university located within the United States;
- A parent who currently has a child enrolled as a high school senior located within the United States;
- A student who is currently enrolled as a high school junior or senior who intends to enroll in an accredited college or university located with the United States, within a year of graduating high school.
$1,000 each CSEA
With an overall annual scholarship and grant budget of over $160,000, CSEA offers $1,000 scholarships to dependents and spouses of CSEA members, helping many continue their education after high school. Must be the dependent of a CSEA member.

$500, BACC/AMBayArea Scholarship, Due Feb. 5
The Bay Area Community Colleges (BACC) and the Association of Manufacturers Bay Area (AMBayArea) -- a regional trade association of companies and organizations committed to helping manufacturers in the region -- are offering $500 scholarships to students taking community college classes towards a career in the manufacturing skilled trades.
Freemont Foundation Scholarship, Due Feb. 7, 2026
The James M. & Erma T. Freemont Foundation awards scholarships to students with a record of leadership and colunteerisng in the community and participation in extracurricular school activities.
All APPLICANTS MUST:
- Have a record of leadership and volunteerism in the community in non-school sponsored activities and participation in extracurricular school activities
- Have a minimum GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale)
- Applicant must have minimum SAT score of 1150 or ACT score of 21.

Multiple Up to $25,000, Horatio Alger National Scholarship, Due midnight Feb. 15 for seniors
The Horatio Alger Association is pleased to have awarded $265 million to more than 37,000 students with the support of its Members and is the largest provider of need-based scholarships in the United States. Multiple $1,000, California State PTA Scholarship, Due Feb. 15
This California scholarship requires that the student be a PTSA member and two letters of recommenation.
Up to $6,000 Christermon Foundation, Due Feb. 15
Open to CA high school graduates intending to enroll in a CA community college or 4 year college in the U.S. California students whose parent and/or grandparents are proprietors of or employed full time by an individual or corporation holding a California liquor, spirits or beer license.
$5,000, Alamo Women's Club, Due Feb. 18, 2026
This SRVUSD scholarship is open to graduating high school seniors and emancipated foster students and requires a 2.0 GPA or higher, one essay and two letters of recommendation.
REQUIREMENTS
- Needs financial support to meet educational/vocational goals
- Makes a strong commitment to continuing education either academically or vocationally
- Completes the AWC application
- Maintain a 2.0 GPA in all classes
- Writes a personal essay describing why they applied for the scholarship, what their educational/vocational goals are, and why they deserve
the scholarship - Submits two (2) letters of recommendation from either school counselors, staff members, teachers or community leaders
- Resides in Contra Costa County or attends a college in Contra Costa County
- Completes the Photo Release Form with required signature
- Returns the required documents by email no later than Feb. 18, 2026

Up to $3,500, Several from the Danville San Ramon Rotary Club, Due Feb. 20
SRVHS graduating seniors attending a 2- or 4-year college or trade/vocational school in fall 2026 are eligible to apply. High school work, including courses taken and extracurricular activities should demonstrate that the student is ready for the challenge of college or a trade school.
$1,500 Tri Counties Bank Scholarship, Applications accepted Nov. 3-Feb. 25, 2026
Through a partnership with the Community Foundation of the North State, Tri Counties Bank provides meaningful college scholarships to deserving low and moderate-income students in the Bank’s footprint, as well as to other accomplished students in the communities we serve. The Bank has established an endowment through the Community Foundation of the North State to help sustain this important service, and provides additional funding totaling over $100,000 each year for scholarships awarded to higher-education bound youth (including community college, trade schools, and 4-year public and private institutions).
- Income Based — Sixty (60) $1,500 scholarships are awarded to students with a Student Aid Index (SAI) of $6,655 or less, and a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher.
- Merit Based — Twenty (20) $1,000 scholarships are offered to students with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher
$1,500, Patty Heart Memorial Scholarship, Applications accepted Jan. 23-Feb. 27
In memory of Patty Hart, the Danville Women's Club awards scholarships and educational gifts to a SRVHS senior to help with tuition, fees, books, supplies, computers, etc. This scholarship recognizes a senior student who has demonstrated a strong work ethic in their academics, school activities, community service, and employment experience. To apply students must have a 2.75 GPA or higher and full time fall enrollment to an accredited junior college, four-year college or university, or vocational school. Interviews will occur between March 17-27, 2026.

Starting at $2,000, American Association of University Women Scholarships, Due March 1
The Danville-Alamo-Walnut Creek (DAW) branch of the American Association of University Women (AAUW) is offering college scholarships to individuals who identify as women. Current high school students who will be at an accredited college or university in the fall of 2025, and staff who are undergrad/graduate students are eligible to apply. Applicants must currently attend or, in the past, have attended high school in Danville, Alamo, or Walnut Creek, or currently reside or work in these communities. - Community Local Scholarship: Due March 1
- Single Parent Scholarship: Due as specified by Diablo Valley College
$2,000, Travis Credit Union Scholarship, Applications accepted Oct. 1-March 2, 2026
20 current college-bound seniors will receive this scholarship. Application requires an essay and a Travis Credit Union account.

$10,000 (75 nation-wide), James R. Hoffa Memorial Scholarship, Due March 2, 2026
This Fund is established solely to provide scholarships to the child or dependent of a member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters who is attending an accredited four-year college, an accfedited training or vocational non-baccalaureate training program at a community college or other training institution.
$2,000, LINKS Scholarship, Due March 5
A national volunteer service organization of concerned and committed women, primarily of African ancestry, who work to enhance the quality of life in our larger communities. The organization strives to contribute to the formulation of a positive, productive, and culturally diverse community through our focus on education, cultural enrichment, health and wellness, and civic involvement. We are writing to share our scholarship information for $2000 with you to share with your student community. Students who self-identify as Black or African American are especially encouraged to apply.
Eligibility requirements are:
- High school seniors, graduating in May/June of this academic year
- A minimum cumulative (not weighted) GPA of 3.4 or higher (on a 4.0 Scale)
- Demonstrated active participation in school activities
- Demonstrated active participation in community service activities
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Evidence of a commitment to attend and graduate from a four-year college or university

This scholarship is for high school seniors judged most likely to excel at a college or university. Recipients are chosen by an impartial panel of business professionals and collegiate educators who base their decisions on scholastic achievement, community involvement, leadership skills, character and integrity, recommendation letters, as well as an essay submitted by the student.
Blackhawk Scholarship Fund (BSF), Due March 8 at 1 p.m.
Outstanding high school and community college women in financial need to support their journey to a four-year college or university are eligible to apply. The BSF scholarship is designed to recognize academic excellence, commitment to community service, and financial need. The eligibility requirements are:
- Female, residing in Contra Costa County, California
- A minimum 3.5 cumulative unweighted GPA
- Be active in community service
- Be in need of financial aid - A Student Aid Index (SAI) from the FASFA Submission Summary (FSS) must be no more than $40,000
- A graduating High School Senior or Junior/Community College student who will be attending a 4-year College/University in the Fall
600+ $7,500 per semester for four years, Hagan Scholarship, Due March 15
This organization is dedicated to helping students graduate college debt-free. Recipients will receive $2,000 to purchase essential items for college and will be eligible to receive up to $7,500 for up to eight consecutive college semesters. Approximately one-third of eligible applicants have received this scholarship.Scholarship criteria includes:

Graduating high school seniors and current undergrads enrolled in an agriculture or food-related degree program in the U.S. Students must be 17-25 during the AFA Leaders Conference, attending a four-year institution in the US or plans to obtain a four-year degree, 2.5 GPA or higher (recommended), passion for food, agriculture and/or natural resources, and intention to pursue a career in the food, agriculture and/or natural resources industries.
$1,000-$6,000 Assistance League Diablo Valley High School Scholarships, Due March 20, 2026
San Ramon Valley seniors are eligible to apply for the following scholarships:
- Foster / Kinship: $1,000-$4,000 scholarship for any foster or kinship student applying to community college, vocational / technical / trade school, or a four-year college
- High School Senior: $2,000-$6,000 scholarship for students with a 3.0 or higher GPA who are applying to a four-year college
- Career Technical Education: $1,000-$3,000 scholarship for students with a 2.5 or higher GPA applying to vocational / technical / trade school
Each scholarship requires letter(s) of recommendation, a 500-word statement of purpose, and an interview in April. Some also require a copy of Student Aid Index from FAFSA, transcripts, or other verifying information. Please note that the applications are fill in forms rather than hand-written.
Multiple up to $6,000, PG&E Grants & Scholarships, Due March 22
- Access Scholarship: $1,000-$3,000 scholarships (college-bound high school seniors and continuing undergraduate college students). This employee group supports the inclusion of individuals with disabilities.
- AAPI Scholarship: $2,000-$3,000 scholarships (college-bound high school seniors only)
- Black Scholarship: $1,000-$5,000 scholarships (college-bound high school seniors and continuing undergraduate college students). This employee group is dedicated to cultivating and maintaining an energized network of professionals in support of African American culture.
- Latino Scholarship: $1,000-$2,000 scholarships (college-bound high school seniors and continuing undergraduate college students). This employee group's mission is to inspire Latinos to achieve their full potential.
- Legacy Scholarship: Multiple $1000 scholarships (college-bound high school seniors, undergraduate and graduate college students, and continuing students in certificate programs related to supporting Senior communities).
- Meena Scholarship: $1,000 - $3,000 (college-bound high school seniors and continuing undergraduate college students). This group is dedicated to cultivating, sustaining and maintaining an energized network of professionals representing communities from the Middle East, Europe and North Africa regions.
- NSBE Scholarship: $1,000 - $3,000 (college-bound high school seniors and continuing undergraduate college students). This engineering network group promotes STEM awareness to diverse collegiate and pre-collegiate students
- NuEnergy Scholarship: $1,000-$5,000 scholarships (for continuing undergraduate college students and high-school seniors)
- $6,000 scholarships (college-bound high school seniors and community college transfer students*). PrideNetwork fosters shared success by supporting lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer (LGBTQ+) and ally students.
- PSEA Scholarship: $1,000 scholarships (college-bound or continuing student dependents of PG&E employees only)
- Samahan Scholarship: $1,000-$2,000 scholarships (college-bound high school seniors only). This group promotes social and educational aspects of Filipino-American culture and heritage.
- SHPE Scholarship (Leading Hispanics in STEM): $1,000 - $2,000 (college-bound high school seniors and continuing undergraduate college students)
- Veterans Scholarship: $5,000+ scholarships (college-bound high school seniors and continuing undergraduate college students)
- Women's Network Scholarship: $1,500-$4,000 scholarships (college-bound high school seniors only). Undeclared majors not accepted.
- Better Together STEM Scholarship: $2,500, $5,000 or $10,000 for students pursuing science, technology or engineering studies at universities in California. Students must be California residents and PG&E customers at the time of application.
$2,000 Inaugural Neel Somani Young Innovators Scholarship, Due March 27
Supports graduating high school seniors in the San Ramon Valley Unified School District (SRVUSD) who demonstrate entrepreneurial ambition and innovative thinking. This fellowship aims to foster the next generation of leaders and changemakers as they transition to higher education. Made possible through the generosity of SRVUSD alumnus Neel Somani and managed by the San Ramon Valley Education Fund, the fellowship will provide an annual award in perpetuity. Italian American Federation of the East Bay Scholarship, Due March 27 at 11:59 p.m.
The purpose of the Italian American Federation is to unify the Italian American community and reestablish closer ties with our Italian heritage. One of its principle and most cherished activities is the presentation of scholarship awards assigned to a number of promising Italian American students selected from the schools of our community.

Each year, the CCAR Scholarship Foundation awards scholarships to local students pursuing higher education, including college, university, and trade school programs. $3,000 Ivy and Pearls Foundation Scholarship, Due March 31
The Ivy and Pearls Foundation was developed in 2005 to provide service projects and scholarships in the cities of Palo Alto, East Palo Alto and surrounding areas. The formation of the Ivy and Pearls Foundation has expanded the philanthropic efforts of Rho Delta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, by giving us the ability to provide scholarships that support educational endeavors of college students, and to expand our reach in providing excellent service projects in the local area.
- Applicants must be of African or African-American descent
- Applicants must reside in San Mateo County, Santa Clara County, Alameda County, San Francisco City/County or Contra Costa County

APRIL
$6,000 Buck Fellowship Scholarship for Sophomores, Due April TBA
This program extends opportunities to extraordinary Northern California high school students in helping them overcome barriers to reach new heights. Each Buck Fellow receives $6,000 in funding (for college and summer enrichment opportunities, college test prep courses, internships, college visits), one-on-One mentorship from a member of our Buck Scholar alumni network to support academic and personal growth, and access to a network of additional mentors: 250+ professionals in fields such as medicine, law, education, technology, and the arts. Note: Students whose parents did not graduate from college, or have limited English ability or limited financial resources, are especially encouraged to apply.
Eligibility:
- Live or attend school in Contra Costa, Napa, Sacramento, San Joaquin, Solano, or Yolo County.
- Be a high school sophomore.
- Submit a completed application, along with your transcript and two letters of recommendation by the application deadline.
You can demonstrate:
- A record of academic success and a desire for academic and intellectual challenges.
- Evidence of leadership, enterprise, and personal initiative.
- A commitment to succeed and improve your community.
- Personal resiliency, including the capacity to overcome adversity.
50+ $500-$1,000 Men's College Scholarship, Due April 1, 2026
The scholarship is designed to identify and reward outstanding high school seniors who have demonstrated an ability to excel in the fields of academics, extracurricular school activities, and community involvement. The scholarship is available to any male senior graduating from high school who is enrolling in a four-year undergraduate college program that commences in fall 2025. The scholarship is awarded through the Foundation for Fraternal Excellence, a registered 501(c)3 organization. Current or future membership in a fraternity is not required. Apply here.
Mt. Diablo Society of Women Engineers (Golden West), Due April 3
Mount Diablo Section SWE Scholarship provides financial assistance to female high school seniors or junior college students from northern California planning to study engineering in college. This program is open to female residents in the northern California area served by the Mount Diablo section (Solano County and portions of Alameda and Contra Costa counties) who are graduating high school seniors attending a 4-year college or university and planning to pursue an engineering education and career.
Up to $1,000, Italian Catholic Federation, Due April 10, 2026
This scholarships is open to Roman Catholic high school seniors who meet the requirements for Italian ancestry or membership. The application requires an essay.
Multiple East Contra Costa County NAACP, Applications accepted March 3-April 11, 2026 at 11:59 p.m.
Scholarships range in award amount, academic interests, age, need-based, merit-based and are open to outstanding Black students pursuing and undergraduate education. Applicants must be African American or persons of color who are graduating seniors with a 3.0+ GPA.
$1,000+ NOBLE Scholarship, Due April 11, 2026
The San Francisco Bay Area Chapter of the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives (NOBLE) is committed to supporting the next generation of law enforcement and criminal justice leaders and is awarding an annual scholarship opportunity for students pursuing higher education with the intent to work within criminal justice-related fields or law enforcement professions. This scholarship award is designed to assist students with a 2.7+ GPA who are passionate about making a difference in their communities through careers in law enforcement, criminal justice, or related disciplines. Truschke Foundation Scholarship, Due April 15
The Truschke Foundation Scholarship is for eligible students who are a graduating San Ramon Valley High School senior (within 2 semesters) with specific documented learning disabilities who will enroll in a university, college, vocational or technical school program in the upcoming academic year. The Scholarship Committee will determine the number and value of scholarships awarded each year. Students who meet the eligibility criteria are invited to submit an application for consideration. The essay, resume, and letters of recommendation should be submitted together and be emailed directly to Anthony Tovani. Scholarship announcements will be made at the Senior Awards Ceremony.
$500, Stone Valley Middle School PTA Senior Scholarship, Due April 15
Stone Valley Middle School PTA is offering a $500 scholarship award for a graduating High School Senior who is an alumnus of Stone Valley Middle School (SVMS). The scholarship seeks to recognize a former SVMS student who has made a positive impact through volunteering, both in our schools and community.
Qualifications:
● Attended and been promoted from Stone Valley Middle School in Alamo, CA
● Graduating from a San Ramon Valley Unified School District high school
● Membership in the PTA/PTSA unit at his/her high school is encouraged but not required; special consideration will be given to applicants involved in their PTA/PTSA
● Plan to attend an accredited college, university, community college, trade or technical school following graduation from high school
● Volunteered at his/her high school or in the community
● Attended and been promoted from Stone Valley Middle School in Alamo, CA

Formerly the Bill Gregory Scholarship, this scholarship is open to area high school students who show an extraordinary effort in community service and who have a real need for a scholarship are eligible for this scholarship. $500 Joshua Michael Liu Memorial Scholarship, Due April 20 at 11:59 p.m.
This scholarship is open to seniors with a 3.0+ GPA who are graduating in June; residents of Pleasanton, San Ramon, Livermore, Dublin, or Alamo; and are active members of a church. Click here for more information.
One Hundred Black Women Oakland/Bay Area Chapter Scholarship, Due April 26
NCBW is a non-profit advocacy organization dedicated to improving the lives of African American women, girls, and the Black community in general and offer scholarship opportunities to female and male students interested in entrepreneurship.
Two $1,000, Vivian Srouji Memorial Scholarship, Due April 29, 2026
This essay scholarship seeks to honor the life of former SRVHS Counselor Vivian Srouji by supporting SRVHS students who are preparing to begin their college careers. Priority is given to seniors interested in attending UCLA or Berkeley.
$500, PTSA Senior Scholarship, Due April TBA
This scholarship is for continuing education at a four year College or University, a Community College, or a Trade/Technical school. The award recognizes the achievements of students for volunteer services in the school and/or community. Click here for last year's information.
MAY
Two $500, Noia Freitas Scholarship, Due May 4, 2026 at noon
This scholarship was established in memory of Julia Margaret Noia Freitas and Joseph Francisco Freitas, Jr. (San Ramon Valley Pioneers) by their daughter, Mildred Freitas, a 1936 graduate of SRVHS. Candidate selections will be made by an SRVHS administrative committee. Up to two scholarships of $500 will be awarded at the Senior Awards Ceremony. To release funds, send proof of college/vocational enrollment in fall of 2026 to SRV's financial analyst. Each Applicant must:
1. Be female
2. Have attended SRVHS for all of 9-12th grades
3. Have a cumulative, unweighted GPA of between 3.0 and 3.9 (must be within this range as indicated on SRV 7th semester transcript = Cumulative GPA unweighted) to be eligible.
4. Plan to enroll and begin study at a 2 or 4 year college, or a technical/vocational school immediately following graduation.
