OCTOBER
$500 NCWIT Award for Aspirations in Computing, Due Oct. 28
Ninth-12th grade women, genderqueer, and non-binary students who are at least 13 are eligible to apply. There are 391 scholarships available. Award recipients are selected based on their aptitude and aspirations in technology and computing, as demonstrated by their computing experience, computing-related activities, leadership experience, tenacity in the face of barriers to access, and future plans.

4 $500 Asian American Women's Alliance Scholarships, Due Oct. 30 at 11:59 p.m.
Eligibility: Asian American students enrolled in High School, College or Graduate School and be a resident within the Bay Area. U.S. resident only please.
Selection: The scholarship committee from the AAWA board will make the final selection of scholarship recipients. Scholarship recipients will be selected based on their academic success, community engagement, and their essay.

High school students who are at least 17 years old and accepted or enrolled as an undergraduate student (at least six credit hours per semester) and eligible trade/vocational schools are eligible to apply. 325 awards are available.
$500 per semester Mel C. Marshall scholarship, Due Oct. 31 for Spring and June 30 for Fall
This scholarship was developed to encourage high school seniors or college students to enroll in careers related to the precast concrete industry and to provide opportunities for those students who receive financial support to liaise with CPCA. Open to California residents who are a high school senior or current college student who will be enrolling full time in an academic institution for the academic year beginning in the semester following the date of application. The student’s academic field must be related to the building, construction or PRECAST concrete industry (can include safety, accounting, IT, etc.) Application requirements include:
- A transcript of high school grades and/or college grades, through the latest grading period prior to the date of the application. The high school transcript must include ACT/SAT scores and class standing.
- A letter of recommendation from the high school or college faculty.
- A letter of sponsorship from a CPCA member considered to be in good standing. (Contact the CPCA office if you need help contacting a member).
$35,000 VFW Annual Voice of Democracy, due midnight Oct. 31
This audio-essay program provides 9th-12th grade high school students with the unique opportunity to express themselves in regards to a democratic and patriotic-themed recorded essay. Scholarships are paid directly to recipient's American university, college, trade/technical school.

With an overall annual scholarship and grant budget of over $160,000, CSEA offers $1,000 scholarships to dependents and spouses of CSEA members, helping many continue their education after high school. Must be the dependent of a CSEA member.

$3,500 Pine Cone Foundation Scholarship, Opens Oct. 10, Due Nov. 7
Provides financial assistance to high school seniors in California who have been diagnosed with a specific learning disability (SLD) and plan to attend community college in the state. Eligible applicants must be current seniors who are California residents attending a California school, have a 2.5 GPA or higher, have been diagnosed with a specific learning disability (SLD). Examples of SLDs include: dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, nonverbal learning disorders, language processing disorders, etc.
$10,000 each for 10 students, Good Tidings Community Service Scholarship, Due at noon Nov. 3
This scholarship aims to reward low-income high school seniors who have committed themselves to community service.
Application requirements include:
- High school senior graduating in Spring 2026
- Resident of one of the following California counties: Alameda, Contra Costa, Lake, Marin, Monterey, Napa, Sacramento, San Benito, San Francisco, San Joaquin, San Mateo, Santa Cruz, Santa Clara, Solano, Sonoma, Stanislaus, Yolo
- Winners must volunteer a minimum of 1 shift (2-4 hours) for our Good Tidings' Winter Wonderland Toy Giveaway Program between 12/9 - 12/20/23 in Burlingame, CA
- Must plan on attending college/university, junior college, vocational, trade, or continuing education
- For an application to be considered complete, each applicant must select a recommender who will upload a letter of recommendation via Kaleidoscope
$1,000-$7,500 each for more than 500 students nationwide, ENF Most Valuable Student Contest, due Nov. 12
The Elks National Foundation (ENF) awards 500 four-year scholarships based on academics, leadership, and financial need. At the Lodge level, six students will receive level 1st, 2nd, and 3rd awards for female students and, also for male students. The lodge for SRVHS students is Walnut Creek Elks Lodge #1811 as their sponsoring Lodge. MVS scholarships are for students pursuing a four-year degree on a full-time basis (minimum of 12 semester hours), at a U.S. college or university next school year. Some important applicant details include:
- Current high school seniors (or equivalent) who are citizens of the United States are eligible to apply.
- Applicants do not have to be related to a member of the Elks.
- Male and female students compete separately.
Award amount varies Greenhouse Scholars Program, Due Nov. 13
The Greenhouse Scholars Program is available to graduating high school seniors residing in California, Colorado, Georgia, Illinois, New York, or North Carolina. Applicants will be evaluated for their leadership skills, academic success, and commitment to their community. High school seniors with a 3.5 GPA or higher, U.S. citizenship or residency who have overcome adversity, participate in volunteering or leadership, whose family's gross income is less than $80,000, and who are seeking a bachelor's degree are welcome to apply.
FEBRUARY
$1,500 Tri Counties Bank Scholarship, App opens Nov. 3, Typically due Feb.
Through a partnership with the Community Foundation of the North State, Tri Counties Bank provides meaningful college scholarships to deserving low and moderate-income students in the Bank’s footprint, as well as to other accomplished students in the communities we serve. The Bank has established an endowment through the Community Foundation of the North State to help sustain this important service, and provides additional funding totaling over $100,000 each year for scholarships awarded to higher-education bound youth (including community college, trade schools, and 4-year public and private institutions).
- Income Based — Sixty (60) $1,500 scholarships are awarded to students with a Student Aid Index (SAI) of $6,655 or less, and a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher.
- Merit Based — Twenty (20) $1,000 scholarships are offered to students with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher

This California scholarship requires that the student be a PTSA member and two letters of recommenation.

Open to CA high school graduates intending to enroll in a CA community college or 4 year college in the U.S. California students whose parent and/or grandparents are proprietors of or employed full time by an individual or corporation holding a California liquor, spirits or beer license.
$5,000, Alamo Women's Club, Due Feb. 18, 2026
This SRVUSD scholarship is open to graduating high school seniors and emancipated foster students and requires a 2.0 GPA or higher, one essay and two letters of recommendation.
REQUIREMENTS
- Needs financial support to meet educational/vocational goals
- Makes a strong commitment to continuing education either academically or vocationally
- Completes the AWC application
- Maintain a 2.0 GPA in all classes
- Writes a personal essay describing why they applied for the scholarship, what their educational/vocational goals are, and why they deserve
the scholarship - Submits two (2) letters of recommendation from either school counselors, staff members, teachers or community leaders
- Resides in Contra Costa County or attends a college in Contra Costa County

$1,000, Patty Heart Memorial Scholarship, Opens in Jan., Typically due late Feb.
In memory of Patty Hart, the Danville Women's Club awards scholarships and educational gifts to a SRVHS senior to help with tuition, fees, books, supplies, computers, etc. This scholarship recognizes a senior student who has demonstrated a strong work ethic in their academics, school activities, community service, and employment experience. To apply students must have a 2.75 GPA or higher and full time fall enrollment to an accredited junior college, four-year college or university, or vocational school.

The Horatio Alger Association is pleased to have awarded $265 million to more than 37,000 students with the support of its Members and is the largest provider of need-based scholarships in the United States. The Danville-Alamo-Walnut Creek (DAW) branch of the American Association of University Women (AAUW) is offering college scholarships to individuals who identify as women. Current high school students who will be at an accredited college or university in the fall of 2025, and staff who are undergrad/graduate students are eligible to apply. Applicants must currently attend or, in the past, have attended high school in Danville, Alamo, or Walnut Creek, or currently reside or work in these communities. - Community Local Scholarship: Due March 1

Blackhawk Scholarship Fund (BSF)

Outstanding high school and community college women in financial need to support their journey to a four-year college or university are eligible to apply. The BSF scholarship is designed to recognize academic excellence, commitment to community service, and financial need. The eligibility requirements are:
- Female, residing in Contra Costa County, California
- A minimum 3.5 cumulative unweighted GPA
- Be active in community service
- Be in need of financial aid - A Student Aid Index (SAI) from the FASFA Submission Summary (FSS) must be no more than $40,000
- A graduating High School Senior or Junior/Community College student who will be attending a 4-year College/University in the Fall
$2,000, LINKS Scholarship, Due March 5
A national volunteer service organization of concerned and committed women, primarily of African ancestry, who work to enhance the quality of life in our larger communities. The organization strives to contribute to the formulation of a positive, productive, and culturally diverse community through our focus on education, cultural enrichment, health and wellness, and civic involvement. We are writing to share our scholarship information for $2000 with you to share with your student community. Students who self-identify as Black or African American are especially encouraged to apply.
Eligibility requirements are:
- High school seniors, graduating in May/June of this academic year
- A minimum cumulative (not weighted) GPA of 3.4 or higher (on a 4.0 Scale)

80 up to $1,500, The Tri Counties Bank Scholarship Program, Due March 12
This scholarship is open to Central and Northern California high school seniors planning to attend community colleges, trade schools, and four-year colleges/universities. Applicants should demonstrate interest in public service. community engagement, and business entrepreneurship. Special attention, but not exclusively, is paid to those who are economically disadvantaged. One of the scholarships requires a 2.5+ GPA and the other a 3.5+ GPA.

This organization is dedicated to helping students graduate college debt-free. Recipients will receive $2,000 to purchase essential items for college and will be eligible to receive up to $7,500 for up to eight consecutive college semesters. Approximately one-third of eligible applicants have received this scholarship.Scholarship criteria includes:

- Foster / Kinship: $1,000-$4,000 scholarship for any foster or kinship student applying to community college, vocational / technical / trade school, or a four-year college
- High School Senior: $2,000-$6,000 scholarship for students with a 3.0 or higher GPA who are applying to a four-year college
- Career Technical Education: $1,000-$3,000 scholarship for students with a 2.5 or higher GPA applying to vocational / technical / trade school
Each scholarship requires letter(s) of recommendation, a 500-word statement of purpose, and an interview in April. Some also require a copy of Student Aid Index from FAFSA, transcripts, or other verifying information.

San Ramon Valley Dance Boosters will recognize and reward senior SRVHS dancers who demonstrate excellence through dance participation, academic achievement, and community service.

- AAPI Scholarship: $2,000-$3,000 scholarships (college-bound high school seniors only)
- Black Scholarship: $1,000-$5,000 scholarships (college-bound high school seniors and continuing undergraduate college students). This employee group is dedicated to cultivating and maintaining an energized network of professionals in support of African American culture.
- Latino Scholarship: $1,000-$2,000 scholarships (college-bound high school seniors and continuing undergraduate college students). This employee group's mission is to inspire Latinos to achieve their full potential.
- Legacy Scholarship: Multiple $1000 scholarships (college-bound high school seniors, undergraduate and graduate college students, and continuing students in certificate programs related to supporting Senior communities).
- Meena Scholarship: $1,000 - $3,000 (college-bound high school seniors and continuing undergraduate college students). This group is dedicated to cultivating, sustaining and maintaining an energized network of professionals representing communities from the Middle East, Europe and North Africa regions.
- NSBE Scholarship: $1,000 - $3,000 (college-bound high school seniors and continuing undergraduate college students). This engineering network group promotes STEM awareness to diverse collegiate and pre-collegiate students
- NuEnergy Scholarship: $1,000-$5,000 scholarships (for continuing undergraduate college students and high-school seniors)
- $6,000 scholarships (college-bound high school seniors and community college transfer students*). PrideNetwork fosters shared success by supporting lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer (LGBTQ+) and ally students.
- PSEA Scholarship: $1,000 scholarships (college-bound or continuing student dependents of PG&E employees only)
- Samahan Scholarship: $1,000-$2,000 scholarships (college-bound high school seniors only). This group promotes social and educational aspects of Filipino-American culture and heritage.
- SHPE Scholarship (Leading Hispanics in STEM): $1,000 - $2,000 (college-bound high school seniors and continuing undergraduate college students)
- Veterans Scholarship: $5,000+ scholarships (college-bound high school seniors and continuing undergraduate college students)
- Women's Network Scholarship: $1,500-$4,000 scholarships (college-bound high school seniors only). Undeclared majors not accepted.
- Better Together STEM Scholarship: $2,500, $5,000 or $10,000 for students pursuing science, technology or engineering studies at universities in California. Students must be California residents and PG&E customers at the time of application.

$3,000 Ivy and Pearls Foundation Scholarship, Due March 31
The Ivy and Pearls Foundation was developed in 2005 to provide service projects and scholarships in the cities of Palo Alto, East Palo Alto and surrounding areas. The formation of the Ivy and Pearls Foundation has expanded the philanthropic efforts of Rho Delta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, by giving us the ability to provide scholarships that support educational endeavors of college students, and to expand our reach in providing excellent service projects in the local area.
