This list of scholarships is limited to local, Bay Area or state scholarships as well as national scholarships awarded to SRVHS students in the past, with a narrow application pool, or requested by SRVHS counseling or admin. FEBRUARY

 
 
Up to $7,500, Several from the Danville San Ramon Rotary Rotary Club, Due Feb. 28
These opportunities are available to students at San Ramon Valley High School and Cal Hi for the 2025-26 academic year.  There is one scholarship for $7,500 and several non-renewable scholarships for $1000 to $3000 for students graduating from SRVHS (or Cal Hi) and attending college or trade/vocational school in 2025.  Attached is the application and information form that can be distributed to any eligible students.  Applications are due February 21.  (This is not limited to Interact Club students.)
 
Starting at $2,000, American Association of University Women Scholarships, Due Feb. 28
The Danville-Alamo-Walnut Creek (DAW) branch of the American Association of University Women (AAUW) is offering college scholarships to individuals who identify as women. Current high school students who will be at an accredited college or university in the fall of 2025, and staff who are undergrad/graduate students are eligible to apply. Applicants must currently attend or, in the past, have attended high school in Danville, Alamo, or Walnut Creek, or currently reside or work in these communities. 
  • Community Local Scholarship: Due March 1
  • Single Parent Scholarship: Due as specified by Diablo Valley College
 
$1,000, Patty Heart Memorial Scholarship, Due Feb. 28
In memory of Patty Hart, the Danville Women's Club awards scholarships and educational gifts to a SRVHS senior to help with tuition, fees, books, supplies, computers, etc. This scholarship recognizes a senior student who has demonstrated a strong work ethic in their academics, school activities, community service, and employment experience. To apply students must have a 2.75 GPA or higher and full time fall enrollment to an accredited junior college, four-year college or university, or vocational school.

Multiple Up to $25,000, Horatio Alger National Scholarship, Due midnight March 1
  • The Horatio Alger Association is pleased to have awarded $265 million to more than 37,000 students with the support of its Members and is the largest provider of need-based scholarships in the United States. Juniors are invited to learn more about the Horatio Alger Association and its Members at HoratioAlger.org.
     
    Blackhawk Scholarship Fund (BSF)
    Outstanding high school and community college women in financial need to support their journey to a four-year college or university are eligible to apply. The BSF scholarship is designed to recognize academic excellence, commitment to community service, and financial need.  The eligibility requirements are:
    • Female, residing in Contra Costa County, California
    • A minimum 3.5 cumulative unweighted GPA
    • Be active in community service
    • Be in need of financial aid - A Student Aid Index (SAI) from the FASFA Submission Summary (FSS) must be no more than $40,000
    • A graduating High School Senior or Junior/Community College student who will be attending a 4-year College/University in the Fall

    $5,000, Alamo Women's Club Due March 3
    This SRVUSD scholarship is open to graduating high school seniors and emancipated foster students and requires a 2.0 GPA or higher, one essay and two letters of recommendation.
     
    REQUIREMENTS
    • Needs financial support to meet educational/vocational goals
    • Makes a strong commitment to continuing education either academically or vocationally
    • Completes the AWC application
    • Maintain a 2.0 GPA in all classes
    • Writes a personal essay describing why they applied for the scholarship, what their educational/vocational goals are, and why they deserve
      the scholarship
    • Submits two (2) letters of recommendation from either school counselors, staff members, teachers or community leaders
    • Resides in Contra Costa County or attends a college in Contra Costa County
    • Completes the Photo Release Form with required signature
    • Returns the required documents by email no later than Monday, March 3, 2025
    • Previous AWC Scholarship recipients are eligible to apply
    • Late applications will not be considered
    • Scholarship checks must be cashed within 6 months of issue date
     
    $2,000, LINKS Scholarship, Due March 5
    A national volunteer service organization of concerned and committed women, primarily of African ancestry, who work to enhance the quality of life in our larger communities. The organization strives to contribute to the formulation of a positive, productive, and culturally diverse community through our focus on education, cultural enrichment, health and wellness, and civic involvement. We are writing to share our scholarship information for $2000 with you to share with your student community. Students who self-identify as Black or African American are especially encouraged to apply.
    Eligibility requirements are:
    • High school seniors, graduating in May/June of this academic year
    • A minimum cumulative (not weighted) GPA of 3.4 or higher (on a 4.0 Scale)
    • Demonstrated active participation in school activities
    • Demonstrated active participation in community service activities
    • Demonstrated leadership skills
    • Evidence of a commitment to attend and graduate from a four-year college or university

    80 up to $1,500, The Tri Counties Bank Scholarship Program, Due March 12
    This scholarship is open to Central and Northern California high school seniors planning to attend community colleges, trade schools, and four-year colleges/universities. Applicants should demonstrate interest in public service. community engagement, and business entrepreneurship. Special attention, but not exclusively, is paid to those who are economically disadvantaged. One of the scholarships requires a 2.5+ GPA and the other a 3.5+ GPA.
     
    600+ $7,500 per semester for four years, Hagan Scholarship, Due March 15
    This organization is dedicated to helpsing students graduate college debt-free. Recipients will receive $2,000 to purchase essential items for college and will be eligible to receive up to $7,500 for up to eight consecutive college semesters. Approximately one-third of eligible applicants have received this scholarship.Scholarship criteria includes:
    • Must attend a high school located in the U.S.
    • Must have an unweighted 3.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale
    • Must enrill in a four-year college or university
    • Must have worked 240 hours from Jan. 1, 2025-Sept. 1, 2025
 
 
Multiple up to $6,000, PG&E Grants & Scholarships, Due March 22
  • Access Scholarship: $1,000-$3,000 scholarships (college-bound high school seniors and continuing undergraduate college students). This employee group supports the inclusion of individuals with disabilities.
  • AAPI Scholarship: $2,000-$3,000 scholarships (college-bound high school seniors only)
  • Black Scholarship: $1,000-$5,000 scholarships (college-bound high school seniors and continuing undergraduate college students). This employee group is dedicated to cultivating and maintaining an energized network of professionals in support of African American culture.
  • Latino Scholarship: $1,000-$2,000 scholarships (college-bound high school seniors and continuing undergraduate college students). This employee group's mission is to inspire Latinos to achieve their full potential.
  • Legacy Scholarship: Multiple $1000 scholarships (college-bound high school seniors, undergraduate and graduate college students, and continuing students in certificate programs related to supporting Senior communities).
  • Meena Scholarship: $1,000 - $3,000 (college-bound high school seniors and continuing undergraduate college students). This group is dedicated to cultivating, sustaining and maintaining an energized network of professionals representing communities from the Middle East, Europe and North Africa regions.
  • NSBE Scholarship: $1,000 - $3,000 (college-bound high school seniors and continuing undergraduate college students). This engineering network group promotes STEM awareness to diverse collegiate and pre-collegiate students  
  • NuEnergy Scholarship: $1,000-$5,000 scholarships (for continuing undergraduate college students and high-school seniors)
  • $6,000 scholarships (college-bound high school seniors and community college transfer students*). PrideNetwork fosters shared success by supporting lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer (LGBTQ+) and ally students.
  • PSEA Scholsarship: $1,000 scholarships (college-bound or continuing student dependents of PG&E employees only)
  • Samahan Scholarship: $1,000-$2,000 scholarships (college-bound high school seniors only). This group promotes social and educational aspects of Filipino-American culture and heritage.
  • SHPE Scholarship (Leading Hispanics in STEM): $1,000 - $2,000 (college-bound high school seniors and continuing undergraduate college students)
  • Veterans Scholarship: $5,000+ scholarships (college-bound high school seniors and continuing undergraduate college students)
  • Women's Network Scholarship: $1,500-$4,000 scholarships (college-bound high school seniors only). Undeclared majors not accepted.
  • Better Together STEM Scholarship: $2,500, $5,000 or $10,000 for students pursuing science, technology or engineering studies at universities in California. Students must be California residents and PG&E customers at the time of application.
 
Up to $6,000, Assistance League of Diablo Valley Scholarships, Due March 24
This Contra Costa application applies to a variety of scholarships, each with district requirements and eligibility:
  • Foster Youth/Kinship Scholarship, up to $4,000
  • High School Seniors Scholarships, up to $6,000
  • Vocational/Technical/Trade Scholarship, up to $3,000

APRIL

$5,000, LPA Diversity in Design Scholarship, Opens in April
This scholarship is open to POC women who are California high school seniors pursuing a degree in architecture, landscape architecture, interior architecture/design, architectural engineering, structural engineering, building science, civil engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or related building or design degree.
 
Up to $1,000, Italian Catholic Federation, Due April 1
This scholarships is open to Roman Catholic high school seniors who meet the requirements for Italian ancestry or membership. The application requires an essay.
 
Multiple $500-$1,000 Men's College Scholarship, Due 8:59 p.m. April 1
The scholarship is designed to identify and reward outstanding high school seniors who have demonstrated an ability to excel in the fields of academics, extracurricular school activities, and community involvement. The scholarship is available to any male senior graduating from high school who is enrolling in a four-year undergraduate college program that commences in fall 2025. The scholarship is awarded through the Foundation for Fraternal Excellence, a registered 501(c)3 organization. Current or future membership in a fraternity is not required. Apply here.
 
Multiple East Contra Costa County NAACP, Due April 11 at 11:59 p.m., Opens March 3
Scholarships range in award amount, academic interests, age, neeg-based, merit-based and are open to outstanding Black students pursuing and undergraduate education. Applicants must be African American or persons of color who are graduating seniors with a 3.0+ GPA. 
 
Athletic Boosters Scholarship, Due April 18
Athletic Boosters Scholarships will be awarded to ten SRV Seniors. Apply here starting Feb. 14.
 
Two $1,000, Vivian Srouji Memorial Scholarship, Due April 30
This essay scholarship seeks to honor the life of former SRVHS Counselor Vivian Srouji by supporting SRVHS students who are preparing to begin their college careers. This application is open to seniors interested in attending UCLA or Berkeley.

MAY

 
California Scholarship Federation (CSF)
SRVHS has a chapter that students may join. Those who are active for at least four semesters (from second semester sophomore year to second semester senior year) and meet all requirements are eligible for the CSF Lifetime Membership Scholarship AKA Sealbearer their senior year of high school.
