Women in Manufacturing Skilled Trades (WiMST) Mentorship Program
WiMST or women who are in (or studying to be in) the manufacturing skilled trades and is looking for women interested in being either a menor or a mentee in its mentorship program. Sign up here.
Skilled trade careers include machinists, welders, CAD, technicians (engineering, electronic, quality, maintenance, mechatronics, ...), etc.

INFO SESSION: Los Medanos College Process Technology Program Information Session, Jan. 15 at 7 p.m.
Los Medanos is holding an informational Zoom meeting for prospective Process Technology students. This would be a great opportunity for students to learn how they can go through the LMC program and be prepared for a six-figure income in a variety of fields. The information session will cover:
- Provide an overview of the program
- Explain the types of careers open to PTEC Graduates
- Discuss the class offerings for Spring 2026 and Fall 2026
- Explain how to get started and apply
- A little bit of Financial Aid
- And answer general questions
INTERNSHIP: Contra Costa Central Sanitation Externship, Accepting signups through Feb. 22
The 2026 program is a four-session event with in-person/hybrid/virtual meetings (averaging about 3 hours long each) on Feb. 24, Feb. 26, March 3, and March 5. This program is in partnership with local drinking water agency – Contra Costa Water District (CCWD) – to introduce students to both the water and wastewater industry.
Through the program, participants will hear about upcoming internship and summer student job opportunities and how to apply, learn about water/wastewater and local government careers, discover tips and resources for job-seekers, and meet and interact with real-life professionals at both Central San and CCWD.
