October is College Application Month and many colleges across the U.S. offer free applications periods during this time. Learn more about fee waivers.
Colorado Free Application Days: Usually early Oct., TBA 2026-27 (all 32 public colleges and universities in Colorado and several private institutions will waive their application fees)
University of Alabama: Usually early Oct., TBA 2026-27
Binghampton University: Usually late Oct. and early Nov., TBA 2026-27
Colorado School of Mines: Usually late Feb. through Common App or Golden App (no essays or test scores), TBA 2026-27

Oregon State University: Free Application Fridays, waived for students who submit their application after taking a Friday campus tour
Seattle University: Students who have a sibling, parent or grandparent who graduated from Seattle University or students who attend Seattle University's Summer Preview event
Texas Christian University: Application fee waived for first-gen students
Oklahoma State University: accepts ACT, SAT and NACAC fee waivers. Students who demonstrate need by receiving free or reduced lunch costs also qualify for an application fee waiver.
University of Rochester: Request form
Washington University: Just click "Request a Fee Waiver" and list eharding@srvusd.net
