Contra Costa CCTV
Contra Costa Television is a full time county cable station and a part time production studio created to provide Contra Costa residents with quality information and educational programming. CCTV is seeking dedicated, self-motivated individuals to help with various tasks. Interested interns should be willing to undertake station grunt work including tape logging, duplication, organization, and data entry. Depending on experience, additional camera work, production, graphics, and editing are a possibility.
 
Costra Costa Sanitary Department Summer Student ($30/hr)
Central San’s summer student program is available to students interested in exploring career opportunities and gaining experience in their field of interest. Requirements: 
  • Student must be currently enrolled in school or returning to school in the fall.
  • Student must be at least 16 years of age. For those students who have not yet graduated high school, a work permit must be obtained. Permits may be obtained from the student’s school. When school is not in session, a minor is able to work up to 8 hours per day and 40 hours per week. Should the permit state restrictions (i.e. hours, conditions, etc.), it is the responsibility of the division/supervisor to ensure that they are adhered to.
  • Students are considered “at-will,” short-term, non-continuous workers with no grievance rights, benefits, or guarantees of regular employment with the District.

This internship is open to student who:
- Live in or attend high school or college in East Contra Costa County.
- Adhere to an established work schedule (>10 hours/week).
- Adhere to the Intern Program requirements.
- Participate in training classes or programs as directed.
- Observe all workplace rules.
- Dress appropriately for the office setting.
- Observe and abide by all confidentiality guidelines.

Public Health Internship
Contra Costa Health partners with high schools, colleges, and community-based partners to provide public health internships. These internships help adults and young adults
  • Develop critical thinking skills
  • Increase professionalism and leadership skills through mentorship
  • Increase college and career-preparedness through project-based learning
  • Gain exposure to a wide variety of health professions and connections to local health partners
