Danville Community Pianos, Due May 9 by 10 p.m.
Student artists are invited to design and paint the Danville Community Pianos, a cherished summer tradition bringing public art and music to Downtown Danville. Artists may submit original, full-color sketches of their proposed designs for consideration. Selected artists will bring their designs to life on two pianos, which will be displayed outdoors for public enjoyment from June 2-Labor Day. Artists will be notified of their selection by May 16. Painting will take place between May 19-June 1.

Town of Danville Youth Commissioners, Due May 22 by 4 p.m.
The Town of Danville is looking to fill two Youth Commissioner positions, one on the Parks, Recreation, and Arts Commission and the other on the Arts Advisory Board. Both are 2-year terms beginning on July 1, 2025.

Help children with Down Syndrome learn how to ride a bike June 23-27 at Tice Valley Community Gym in Walnut Creek.

Down Syndrome Connection of the Bay Area
Volunteer at weekly, monthly, or special events. This could be in a classroom, at events, or in the office. For classroom volunteering, students must commit to weekly time slots for the duration of the class. This is a meaningful and rewarding opportunity plus it looks great on college applications. Montair Mentorship Program
Mentor Montair Elementary School children. If interested, contact Principal Megan Keefer, who oversees this club.
Rock Med provides all medical coverage at many classic Bay Area venues such as Bill Graham Civic Auditorium, UC Berkeley’s Greek Theatre, Shoreline Amphitheater, Toyota Amphitheatre, and many smaller venues and is the official medical provider of Levi’s Stadium, including all 49ers home games and concerts. Students can sign up to volunteer EMT and health care professionals at such events on an as-needed basis. Learn more.
SRVEF Summer Imagineering Program
Looking for volunteer hours this summer? SRVEF's Summer Imagineering Program is in need of high school students to serve as mentors in their STEAM classes. Week-long Imagineering classes are held from June 16th through July 18th with morning and afternoon sessions. They are in particular need of mentors for their July classes. UCSF Patient Technology Advocate

Volunteering is an excellent opportunity to learn outside of the classroom. Explore the many options to volunteer in your community by sharing your talents and/or possibly learning something new! Many organizations have ongoing programs. See links below for places to begin your search:
- Local area volunteer programs through the Town of Danville and the City of San Ramon!
- Many individual organizations look for student volunteers. Ask around!
- Volunteer Match, an online searchable database for local volunteer information and listings.
- Hospital volunteering. SRVHS works with John Muir and San Ramon Medical Volunteer coordinators to fill their sophomore high school volunteer positions as needed. Many other hospitals have varied volunteer programs and needs that change from year to year. Students should reach out directly to area hospitals to ask about their programs and how/when to apply.
