This list of scholarships is limited to local, Bay Area or state scholarships as well as national scholarships awarded to SRVHS students in the past, with a narrow application pool, or requested by SRVHS counseling or admin. Decisions are made in a matter of days. 
The Grant Process:
  • Fill out the family enrollment form either online or print the form and mail it in.
  • Mail a copy of DD Form 93–Record of Emergency Data. This documents your relation to the casualty.
  • Mail a copy of DD Form 1300–Report of Casualty.
  • Mail documentation of expenses
  • Call them to ensure they have received your enrollment form, to review the process and to inform them of your needs.

APRIL

$3,000 FOR the Valley Scholarship Due April 21
This scholarship is open to SRVUSD seniors who are planning to attend a two- or four-year college or university and must include a submission entitled "How Being FOR Others Can Change The World."
 
Starting at $1,500 Bay East Foundation Scholarship, Due April 28 at midnight
Eligible students must be Alameda or Contra Costa County residents with a 3.25 GPA or higher. The application includes an essay and unofficial transcript,
 
This contest is open to high school seniors, requires three letters of recommendation, and is due in mid-April.


MAY

$1,000 Greenbrook Eagle Alumni Scholarship, Due 9 p.m. May 1
This scholarship is open to all SRVHS graduating seniors who attended Greenbrook Elementary.
 
Up to $5,000 for multiple recipients Diablo Black Men's Group Scholarship, Due May 1
Diablo Black Men’s Group (DBMG), believes in fostering a brighter future through education. Our scholarship program is a testament to our commitment to empowering African American male students from Contra Costa and Alameda Counties as they embark on their collegiate journeys. We understand the significance of supporting young men who are striving for success while aiming to make a positive impact on our communities. FLYER
 
Applicants must be pursuing a career in printing technology, printing management, graphic communications, packaging, or
publishing and the school must be in the United States.
 
This SRV Dance Boosters scholarship is open to seniors who:
  1.  Enrolled as a senior student in good standing and eligible for  graduation from SRVHS.
  2.  Participated in SRVHS Dance a minimum of three (3) years at any level.
  3.  3.0 GPA (unweighted); applicant to provide unofficial transcript with application.
  4.  Demonstrate commitment to SRVHS Dance and SRVHS through leadership, service and/or extracurricular activities.
  5.  Enrolled in or will begin study at a two (2) or four (4) year university/college/trade school or dance company; or under contract with the US military or mission program.
 
Starting at $1,000 Danville Area Chamber Scholarship, Due May 10
High school seniors who reside in Danville, Alamo, San Ramon and are planning to attend a two- or four-year college are eligible to apply. Click HERE for more information.
 
This national scholarship is available to high school juniors and seniors who are interested in going into a mental health field and creating a positive social change and progress in our schools. This scholarship is in memory of Ryan, a beloved son, brother, nephew, and friend, lost to suicide at the young age of 24. This scholarship seeks to honor the memory of Ryan by supporting students who are passionate about pursuing a career in mental health treatment.
 
$1,000 Kids' Chance of California, Due May 15
Kids’ Chance of California, Inc. is a non-profit organization established to provide post-secondary scholarships to dependent children of workers that have been killed or seriously injured in a compensable work-related accident or occupational disease with a California employer. Scholarships are awarded once a year and students may apply every year they attend classes.
Eligibility Requirements
  • Applicant must be between the ages of 16 – 25 years
  • Applicant must be the child or legal dependent of a worker killed or seriously injured in a compensable work- related accident or occupational disease with a California employer
  • Student applicant and/or deceased/injured worker are not required to be a legal resident of the United States
  • Applicant must be able to demonstrate financial need
  • Applicant must be enrolled, accepted or applying for acceptance as a full-time or part-time student at a university, college or technical school
 
  • National President's Scholarship in Honor of 2022-23 National President Cheryl Blair: $10,000
  • Carolyn Hunt Leadership Memorial Scholarship: $3,000
  • National Scholarship in Memory of Barbara Jones, $2,500
  • National Scholarship in memory of beloved members Fran Amos, Lynn Jacek, Phyllis Thomson: $2,000
 
$500 NAGE Scholarship, Due May 17
To be eligible for the scholarship a student must:
A) Be planning to attend or already be attending a two or four-year college, graduate school, trade or technical school.
B) Be a member of NAGE, IBPO, IBCO, or IAEP, or be the member's spouse, child, grandchild, niece, nephew, or significant other.
 
Local high school seniors are eligible to apply to this pro-life essay scholarship. 
 
Four-year, Full Tuition Cameron Impact Scholarship, Early deadline noon PST May 22, Regular Deadline noon PST Sept5 or when reach 3,000 applicants
 awarded annually to 10-15 exceptional high school students who have demonstrated excellence in leadership, community service, extracurricular activities, and academics. 
The Cameron Impact Scholarship covers the full tuition, fees, and books at any accredited U.S. based college or university that the recipient chooses to attend.
As a merit-based program, the Cameron Impact Scholarship is open to all applicants who meet the GPA and citizenship requirements, regardless of race, socioeconomic status, religion, sexual orientation or any other background factors. We are looking for young leaders with demonstrated passion and commitment to any variety of positive impact.
 
$1,000 JA Memorial Scholarship awarded by the PEO chapter, Due May 31
This scholarship is open to female students at least 17 yesrs old who are Contra Costa residents, have a 3.0 GPA or higher, and has demonstrated service to others. The application requires three short answers, an essay, and references.

JUNE

$2,000 per year Vipin Agrawal Memorial Scholarship, Due June 1
The Vipin Agrawal Memorial Scholarship Fund provides scholarships to California students from low-income and immigrant backgrounds. In order to create diversity in the industry and spark new innovations, it is important to platform diverse undergraduate students.
VAMSF annually awards scholarships to two high school seniors and/or current college students who have the following qualifications:
  • Attending a California state university, either CSU and UC school systems, AND went to a California high school
  • Pursuing an undergraduate degree in computer science, science, technology, engineering, or medicine.
  • They or their parents immigrated to the United States
  • Annual household income of less than $75,000
  • A GPA of 3.0 or higher
 
$1,000 Abbott & Fenner Scholarship, Due June 10
This essay contest scholarship is open to all high school juniors, seniors, and students currently registered in any accredited post secondary institution who have the desire and ambition to succeed.
 
Open to current high school juniors and seniors who are enrolled in a California high school and will be attending any accredited public or private college, university, or trade school within 12 months of graduation. Application includes an essay.
