Academic Club Grants
SRVHS Academic Boosters is committed to offering financial assistance to academic clubs for entry fees, mentor programs, research, materials, technology, books, event programming, competition fees and the like. We do not support travel or meal expenses.
All Academic Clubs are eligible to apply, per listed definition below. If your club area is not listed or you are unsure if your club is eligible, please email: srvhsab.edfundgrants@srvef.org. Keep in mind the intent of these grants is to encourage and support student academic excellence for SRV students. Academic enrichment for students outside of SRV tend not to qualify.
Q: What qualifies as an academic club?
A: The club has a faculty sponsor and is focused on enhancing learning in specific subjects or areas of academic enrichment. These clubs promote intellectual engagement or foster academic skills development for SRV students directly. Common examples of academic clubs include:
1. Debate Club: Develops public speaking and critical thinking skills through structured debates on various topics.
2. Math Club: Encourages problem-solving and collaboration in mathematics through competitions and activities.
3. Science Club: Explores scientific concepts through experiments, projects, and events like science fairs and robotics competitions.
4. Language Club: Promote language learning and cultural exchange through conversation practice, literature, and cultural activities.
5. Academic Honor Societies: Recognize and promote scholarship and leadership among high-achieving students in specific subjects.
Timeline:
- Student leaders should submit this form by the deadline: November 1, 2024
- Late submissions will not be eligible
- Applicants will be notified by November 29, 2024
- We are targeting disbursement of funds by December 13, 2024
- Funding requests will only be considered if this form is complete and requested budget information is submitted with this application.
- Funding and partial funding availability will vary from year to year depending on parents and community donations for the school year.
